.... The customer service rep (CSR) asked a number of questions we felt were inappropriate, like what we had stored in the garage of the tow hauler.
We THOUGHT the questions were to determine the weight load on the tire. My husband was honest and told her that we were carrying children's toys and a recliner to take as presents to my son and his daughter in Tennessee.
We were then told that the service was being declined because we were using the toy hauler for commercial use; that we weren't allowed to carry anything but ATV's, motorcycles, and such in the back on our toy hauler. Are you kidding me?.....
I thought I've heard them all but this refusal of service but this one takes the cake.
First of all MANY toy haulers have beds and couches IN the toy hauler area FROM the manufacturer. A couch and toys is most certainly not hauling commercial. :R
And if they do continue to side with the customer service's call on this?
Well heads up to the tens of thousands plus RV'ers who read this. The new answer to THAT question is "Nothing", Nada, zip. Cause next thing you know they will be saying is you are on your way to sell your ATV's or motorcycles and that will be considered commercial.
Interestingly they don't penalize RV'ers who 'compete' with their bikes and ATV's but they do penalize the horse and dog people. If you have a dog in your RV and you go to a dog show whether to watch or compete. They will refuse ers service. And that includes the horse people too who drop over $200,000 for an LQ
RV.
