How long before it takes effect?

I am considering purchasing GS roadside assistance for one year, they are offering a good price right now. We'll need the coverage in 3 weeks for our upcoming trip to Florida, so how long does it take for the insurance to take effect? AAA says 3 days for theirs to take effect.

I got a great deal on the Good Sam roadside assistance for a year, then they threw another deal at me for the membership. $74 for all...so I'm hoping we're all set now...and hoping we don't need the roadside assistance...
