Maybe because the OP thought he had a "contract" for a specific length of time at a locked in rate. Now the rate is being changed to a higher rate and GS is saying this is not a "contract."
Imagine if you pumped gas at the gas station and the price on the pump was $2.10 a gallon. You go inside to pay after pumping 10 gallons and you are now told the price is $2.50 a gallon? In the eye of the OP, this is what happened.
