It called "up selling". It's done virtually everywhere. Ever go to a McDonald's and the first thing out of the drive through speaker, "Hello, welcome to McDonalds. Would you like to try our razzle dazzle new thing for only a dollar ninty-nine when you purchase last months's razzle dazzle item that is no longer new and will only be available between the months of March through July, and then again next year between August and November when you present your McDonald's specialty card that can only be purchased when you purchase our Big Mac's between December and January." It's almost that bad!
It's just part of doing business.
Actually MCDs has been better lately and makes me more likely to return.
