LPG Discount at CW-Update...What the.....

Went to CW Thursday on way home from MB dealer (2013 Winnebago Era) to fill LPG tank.
Tank filled, went in to pay bill and was asked if GS member. Said yes, gave phone number etc. and paid bill. Looked at receipt and Regular price per gallon was $4.69. I was charged $4.19 per gallon. So, why the discount when it was to have been discontinued? Any thoughts?

By the way, the local nearest LPG dealer was out of the way as I was heading home but FYI they charge $3.50/gal.

    Somehow I think that mile and a half would cost you that extra 3 cents per gal you thought you got gypped out of. I can picture all those GS folks twisting your arm to join. By the way, propane is going nuts in my area - one day $5 per gal and the next $4. Just the luck of the draw.


    Not if you had to drive past that other retailer to get to Camping World. I guess it is too much to expect Camping World prices to be competitive with other retailers.

    Let's see $4.69 minus 25% = $3.51 and about a mile and a half down the road the dealer sells it for $3.48. Makes me so happy to be a Good Sam Member!!!!!!

    It's mentioned somewhere on this forum that the new deal is GS members get 10% off propane and the 2 day a week special has ended.

    I'll be real surprised if propane prices ever go back down after this distribution shortage is over. Let alone to the prices it used to be.

    craig7h...yup your right. Web states 25% discount on LPG on Tuesday and Wednesday.. Sounds great but I went on Thursday and my discount was only $ .50/gal or 9.3%. Go Figure. good to know about the new offer. The clerk never mentioned the new deal.

    On the GS web site today and there is a big statement that the LP discount is on but on for only certain days. Must be people are listening to there members

    So, even with Good Sam's "discount" you paid $0.69 too much per gallon! MY that Good Sam membership is so very worthwhile, isn't it?

    I don't get it. How does Camping World and Good Sam survive with all the bad press it gets?
