Member Benefit

has thought been given to contacting Michelin to see if Good Sam could work out an agreement with them like that of the Family Motor Coach Association .... I can see that as being a major incentive for folks to join and then hopefully take advantage of other club benefits

You do not have to have ST tires. You can run LT tires which are better tires than ST!

it is my understanding that FMCA is the booking agent and that tires bought through them must be purchased through a Michelin dealer who handles National Accounts .... much the same as they sign up members for the Pilot/Flying J discount cards

many folks run Michelins on their campers .... in addition, every trailer is pulled by some sort of tow vehicle which does have tires and for our tow vehicles we do use Michelin .... Maxis does make a good trailer tire

I had some Goodyear and Michelin tires quoted me at Good Sam just one week ago in Ft. Worth, Texas on I35. The clerk wasn't all to informed on tires and they also were not too educated on operating their computer. Once, I obtained the quote, I asked if they honored some military or disabled discount .. nothing .. it's the same price for everyone. So I contact Michelin and was given a quote for $227.00 less per tire than what Good Sam offered. The FMCA Michelin program prices were just for the tire alone and the same for Good Sam. I wanted to compare apples to apples.

Same thing for RV batteries, all they had was Excide for $149.00 apiece. I can find them much cheaper for the same or better brand.
