Motorhome Insurance If Only Vehicle

Hello,

I'm finding that many insurance carriers will not cover a motorhome if no other vehicles are owned. Has anyone encountered this situation? Any suggestions?

I own a Class B and am about to begin an extended cross-country trip.

    Mine is currently my only vehicle and it is insured with GEICO. Maybe because it's on a truck chassis, which the agent said is safer than most RVs, it wasn't terribly expensive.

    Assuming you don't have an insurance history, expect it to be very expensive at least for the first year when you do find someone who will insure you.

    Progressive - if you don't have a "insurance history" it may be difficult.
    Our motorhome policy is the only one Progressive has from us.
