I to was switched from GMAC to National General and my premiums went from $741/per year to $1415 upon renewal.This is on a 2010 Bounder Classic 30T. Not what one would consider a high dollar mh. I called yesterday to question why such a substantial increase since I have no claims, drive the MH less than 2000 miles per year and I am carried on their policy as a 'Preferred Plus' Tier. I have the Good Sam discount, Original Owner discount, GMAC Family discount so I wonder what my premium would be without all of these discounts? Their response was'Texas had a rate increase'. No other explanation. Its time to shop around.

The only company I'm aware of with a storage option is National General Insurance (formerly GMAC) You can put your coach in storage mode, pay for comprehensive coverage only and save a lot of money if you don't use your coach a lot. I've had them for about 8 years on two different coaches and find their rates competitive and much cheaper when you consider the storage savings.

$1700 total for the 2001 MH, 1946 Jeep, 2003 Jeep and 2010 Jeep. State Farm.

The best thing for you do do is to compare coverage and rates with many different companies both on line and in person at a local office. Insurance is like any consumer product- there are different prices among different companies.

On Nov 1, 2012 we paid GMAC $520.00 for insurance on our RV and Car. In the middle of the year we received a notice that they are now National General Insurance Company. Heard nothing else from them. I’m wondering why haven’t received any payment notices. I go on line to check it out I see my last year’s statement or whatever, this is something we have not received before I have the letter where they thank us for the payment and I have the policy. This shows the $520.00 I paid plus above it, it has $1300.00 but nothing due. Go to this year’s renewal it shows $1340.00 due Nov. 1st. I call them I was told that they made a mistake on last year’s cost and they just absurd the difference. At no time did they let us know of this. I was also told that our statement was mailed out on Sept 29, 2013 never have seen it yet. So we are looking for insurance right now and the quotes are all over the place.

My 2013 Thor Chateau 31L for less than $500 a year (Allied). But we are not fulltimers.

2000 Itasca suncruiser, 2003 jeep wrangler, 2010 jeep liberty. 1946 jeep CJ2A...total annual premium for all is $1700. the only way to know if the OP is paying too much is to request quotes from other insurance companies.
