I'm very happy with my local insurer, and even recently bought a 3 year Roadside Assistance policy from GS.When I received a GS mailer regarding RV and vehicle insurance, I bit and called the number. I really liked the replacement part of the policy, and was close to switching from my local insurance guy.I'm very glad I googled "National General Insurance-reviews". I spent over an hour reading about other people's experiences, and that was it. NO WAY MARCUS.I shop the local Camping World frequently, and came to see Camping World and GS as friends, ready and willing to help me. I was wrong.I now realize that this is still America, and the for-profit greed machine thrives everywhere. It appears that no matter how much money we give these people, they don't care.

I have had National General Insurance since 1986 (about 27 years) and so far haven't had any complaints. Had a couple of small claims that were handled very well. Would be interesting to know what you don't like about the insurance.

Yeh, I'm with the critics here. This is still a competitive economy. Companies offer their product. We the customer do our "due diligence", figure out which one we like the best and serves our needs the best, and purchase it. I'm quite happy with my RV insurance, through a well known company known to Cheeseheads. Plenty of others can't stand dealing with that same company. But I see no need to trash the competition publicly, particularly when you have no personal experience with their product.

Had their insurance when I purchased my 5ver toy hauler. After the first year, I get a notice that my rates were changed (increased 10%) due to my credit rating. That's a laugh, my credit rating is super-excellent. I requested information on specifics, all I got back was the name of the credit rating source they used. Cancelled that policy, went to State Farm at a much lower rate.Not trashing the GS insurance, but cannot understand the reason for the rate increase. Progressive did a similar thing to me on some motorcycle insurance, almost doubled the rate with no claims after one year, but at least they attributed it to their underwriter rate adjustments for the entire state and didn't attempt to put it off as some phoney credit hocus-pocus.

With our TT we had Allied. It's who we got when we went through Camping World several years ago. This year, when we traded in the TT on the motorhome, we had to get insurance for it. Called the Camping World/Good Sam insurance number and was given a quote right off the bat from NGI. It was twice as much as we were estimated. I asked them to do a quote through Allied. And sure enough it came back half the price of NGI. It pays to shop around sometimes.

I once had a policy with NGI and faithfully paid it for 11 years on my motorcycle with no claims. Even had the "Passenger" rider. Never rode anyone other than my DW and told them so when I purchased it. Had a freak crash in Manitoba,Ca where DW was severely injured, six broken ribs and collar bone. came time to settle up and was told that DW wasn't covered as she was my spouse. Too bad, so sad. After 12 days in ICU on a ventilator and another five before being released. Needless to say, NEVER AGAIN will I waste my money on National General Insurance.

To each his own. When I purchased the MH I took out the GMAC insurance which has since changed to NGI. One month after having the mh it got broken into. Had to file a claim. It was handled promptly and efficiently. Premium didn't go up the second year either. Is that because of the credit rating? I don't know if that is why or not. Haven't thought about changing companies yet. And probably won't unless it goes up tremendously.

I had the GMAC insurance the first year I had my new FW.The second year the premium doubled with no claims in the first year.

Had a small claim with this company, it was taken care of in a timely fashion, so another policy holder that would to know why OP wrote what they did.
