Well, that SOUNDS good. But the chances that multiple reps misunderstood the training in exactly the same way are low.
I think it's more likely that they reps are doing what they are told to do.
I have seen this in other companies -- training of reps that directly contradicts what sales tells customers.
As for jump vs. tow, I did not have that problem with Allstate roadside assist when I called them for the same thing earlier this year. So it's not true that all companies have the dumb rule.
