"Aha! We Gotcha! You LOSE. Bwahahahaha"
The policy in layman's terms.
Logic is simple:
1. I had value X when I entered the store with the incorrect product YOU specified, CW.
2. I expect to leave with the SAME VALUE after you correct YOUR MISTAKE, CW.
...or you could continue to DEFRAUD the customer.
Just because something is in a written policy does not make it Right, or sometimes even legal!
Tell your story, OP. Shout it from the mountaintops. CW was proud enough to make it a policy, are they going to be proud or ashamed when so many are WARNED about this customer-abusive policy?
