My experience with ESP

Not being totally satisfied with ESP I decided to cancel. My policy expires on Oct. 24th, 2013. The last installment of $73 was due last month. We received a call last month from ESP asking if we wanted to pay by credit card. My wife stated that we would prefer to cancel at that time. We thought that was the end of it. This morning I received call from ESP stating that I had never paid the last installment. I told him that we had cancelled. He went on to tell me that I would be billed a prorate $44 and a $50 cancellation fee. I told him that he would play hell collecting it. I am a GS life member, I have had the insurance on my RV, the Road Service and until now the ESP for over 11 years and have never used any of the services. I can't do anything about the life membership, but if I get billed as I was told I will cancel everything that has to do with GS.

  • Yes, if you could forward me your policy number, I will make sure it is taken care of.
  • Fair enough, I wish we had been told that from the start. I could of paid the the $73 and got it overwith. Thanks Scott. Do you need a PM with the policy number?

  • Dear Roman Traveler,

There is a $50 fee for cancelling a Good Sam ESP policy in mid-term unless the policy is transfered to a different vehicle. As a life-time Good Sam member, I will see that the cancellation fee is waived. The only amount due (if any) would be for any unpaid balance prior to the date you informed us of your cancellation.
