Im not a math major, but Im having trouble here. Tire cost $500 from the actual tire shop. GS up charged that to $750 (apparently). How is that double? Double is $1000 for the tire?
I paid 350 for the tire. The cost was 95 for emergency service and 350 for the tire. Misc valve stems, 20 labor, disposal fee... $500
Good Sam PAYS the 95. They then charge me 750. That is 250 MORE than I paid, paying the 95 MYSELF. They charged me 250 more AND supposedly paid the 95. I SHOULD have paid 100 LESS through GS as they supposedly pay the 95 service call. GS charged 250 more than I paid while I paid the 95 I supposedly save by paying good Sam for the plan. With THEM paying the service charge (why we have the insurance in the first place) I would have paid 400. Ignoring the misc charges, that is 350 dollars overcharge, the price of the actual tire. Okay, only 300 bucks overcharge, not quite double. Is that better??
