You keep stating that like it is a universal face and it IS NOT.

It might be true in most places but not ALL.

In some places the Pilot/Flying J have the same prices posted as their competitors across the street. In that case, their offered discounts are worth something.

NOW......comparing their discount to other discount plans is more than I want to tackle. IF THAT is what you are trying to point out, you should make it clearer, which it has NOT been in your previous posts.

You are right about some stations yes this is the case. But not in all by any means. And in many cases the trucks have to go thru the pumps to position themselves correctly to the dumps.

In any case my point was that if you can get those trucks into the lot there is enough room for RV's of any size to maneuver in the vast vast majority of stations.

In my own experience the few times I have used Fly J/Pilot there have been so many trucks backed up I couldn't even get to the RV Pumps. (And it is their domination of the market for Truck Stops that allows their very high prices.)

This is an exercise in dressing a swine in a silk gown...It might look prettier but it still smells like a pig.

To those that think they are tied to the big truck stops because of space...I get my truck and trailer which is a combined 53 feet long into every station I go to. Small, large and otherwise. Just remember they all accommodate Fuel tankers and tractor trailer delivery trucks. The other advantage is I am in and out in a very short time. No truck jams no ten people in line getting showers and weight tickets from the only cashier in the place etc...

Set yourself free. And save a lot of money.

While your savings may be equal whether you use your Club membership card or your RV Plus Charge card, the great news is that you now have the flexibility of deciding what form of payment you want to use!

Like paying with your RV Plus Charge Card? Keep using it & paying with your charge card just as you did in the past.

Want to ‘double dip’ and get the higher fuel savings in addition to the option to also earn points/rewards through your personal credit card company? Now you have that option! Just use your Good Sam Club membership card at the pump and pay with your personal credit card.

Do you have the right card to get these savings?
Look on the back of your membership card. If your card has a magnetic stripe then you’re all set. Simply swipe your card at Pilot Flying J pumps. If your card does not have a magnetic stripe, call Member Services at 1-800-234-3450 to request a new card.

Well this is a baby step in the right direction and that's good BUT as long as Flyng J and Pilot Diesel prices are 20 to 30 cents higher per Gallon than the stations just down the block/road this is still NO deal.

When you add in the discounts you get from Kroger/Fred Meyer/Safeway for buying food, at their stations I can get 30 to 40 cents off THE CHEAPER price of the Fly J and Pilots.

I have the Flying J Charge card and it is almost never used.

That is good to know! I just checked our local price against our local FJ/ Pilot and with the new discount they are only 8 cents higher now.

I am a little mad at Goodsam. We just got our GS/Flying J payment card to get the 8 cents. If they do not increase that discount, I am better off using cash and the GS card because I do not need to worry about the automatic payment.
