New signup less than half of renewall

New Member Sign-up. $59 at Fife, Wa CW today! Just paid over $130 to renew. So what you are saying is new members are more desired than those who have been with you for 9 years. Anyone with any serious business experience knows that it is less costly to retain current customers than to obtain new customers. Why are you insulting current customers to get new customers? Because current customers are leaving?

  • This is a common marketing practice: offer a lower rate for the first year so the customer can see if he/she likes the service. Hopefully they will and then renew at the full price. Magazines are the other that comes to mind. Of course the other way to look at this is to be thankful for the lower price rather than resentful of the full price. It's all in how you approach life.

True, very few companies value customer loyalty.

Exactly and if it makes the OP feel any better they will treat the new customers the same as they treat you once lure them in the door!

  • X2! This is one of my "pet peeves," as a result GSRA or Coach Net will never get my business, two times in a row.

Pretty dumb business practice, but what do I know? I am only the customer.

You know, the one that supports your business?
