For future trips. Consider carrying one of those emergency kits from WalMart.
Contains a bottle of Slime and a compressor. I have used them when I say one
of my tires getting flat.

I would never even consider changing a tire on the side of an interstate - way too dangerous. The Compressor/slime will inflate the tire enough to get you
off the highway- where you can change the tire safely.

(of course - this won't work with a blow-out)
