Yea, I guess there are not many who pay by check. But at nearly 83 years of age I still do as I hate credit cards. I hate having to make payment to any thing. Plus I sure don't put a credit card number on the computer web.

I think part of the problem is that you have a misunderstanding of what happens when you enter your CC number in the computer.
First of all ALL reputable sites that take Credit Cards and that includes your bank have ENCRYPTION of the data that is entered. This encryption is very good and no one can "see" your cc number as it travels at the speed of light through the fiber-optic cables or over the air.
Second As another gentleman pointed out Checks are far more vulnerable than a CC/computer transaction. There is nno encryption of the data on them ALL of your information is there to read for anyone handling that check.
Billions upon billions of Computer credit card transactions are processed every day around the world with very very few, a miniscule percentage of problems.
Choose to pay as you wish but the fact is it is actually safer with a Credit Card.
