GS has never come close for me and the office that they quote from is about 10 miles from my house. By "not close" I mean "not within 50%" of Geico (my current insurer) or Progressive (my previous insurer).
I know that you always need to shop around, but every time that I do, GS is way out of line and they have never sent me my tool kit or whatever other promotion I was supposed to get for giving them a chance.
