I found out about that "trailer exclusion" the hard way too, only in my case it was with AAA. In that case, the driver still took the trailer along, but I had to pay for it. Wasn't that an option in your case just now with Good Sam?

Was your only destination option the repair place, or would they have towed you to the KOA?
I'm asking all these questions because we recently switched to Good Sam, partly due to the (seemingly) broader choices allowed in those department.
I guess you have to have platinum to get the trailer or toad towed as well. He didn't explain it very well. This time, we're traveling with a trailer that has our motorcycles on it. The tow truck we called towed it all, don't know if I paid extra. By that time, I was so angry and frustrated I just wanted the RV off of the road.
The young man never offered to tow to the KOA and I didn't ask. However, I did ask him several times what he expected us to do in Raton NM for a week. Again, he didn't have an answer except to say he was sorry. I guess I just expected too much, like maybe a little bit of compassion and some ideas. Since they are professionals at this, you would think that they understand that when our RV is getting towed, they are towing away our temporary home. At the time, we were hoping to get it into a facility that could work on it on Saturday morning. It is OBE now, we'll just tow it down the road 25 miles to the facility that can work on it Monday. BTW, they could have worked on it Saturday as well. So, if we had had any option or assistance from Good Sam, we would have known that we could pay extra for them to take it down the road a piece and hopefully get it repaired on Saturday or Monday.
