Not worth it

Log into your account online and you will be able to see what membership you have. Your card should also tell you. Look right above the GS logo. You will see the word Platinum on top, if you have platinum, and Platinum+ if you have that.
I don't have an account. I've never been a GS member. Too much junk mail.
I don't see the word "platinum" though. I'm looking around the web site to figure out what I have covered. All I really care about is that they will get my TV to a repair facility and my FW to a campsite.
I first signed up in '98 then I just kept getting cards with different names on them and eventually one that said GS. I made the dumb assumption that I had the same coverage the whole time.
