Online Military Discount

It would be nice if our membership can reflect our military/veteran status for online store purchases. I would think this is very doable especially if a member has previously shown proof in a physical store location and within the current membership period. I was trying to order an eligible item online and while i got the goodsam membership discount I was unable to get the additional veteran discount. While 5% may not seem like much it surely helps some of us who can't drive several hours to get to a store. Please consider this option.

    If GS adds another discount, those that don't qualify will windup paying for those with the discount IMO.

    I think they already get a discount for in store purchases. He’s only asking for the same for online purchases. I

    I don't have a problem with that, those guys in the military don't get paid near enough for the job they do.

    Your comment would justify those serving but not those that did a couple years and separated.

    I did my couple of years and separated, 1968-1970 and 13 months in Vietnam. Not everyone is a lifer.

    The point of the discussion, jdb, was if a discount s available who should receive it. At my local hardware store there are discounts for seniors, military, handicapped, commercial and contractors…just about everyone. So the real regular price is actually the discount price, and that is no discount.

    For a two year hitch, the “recovery” time (where most would be economically and educationally) is over relatively quickly. This makes no sense for those leaving the service in 1970 or 1982.
