I wrote a review for Lake Rutledge RV Park in Fletcher North Carolina. The moderator or whoever, put the review under another parks name, even though the parks name is in the review. The review was negative. The Good Sam Website rates this park a 9 1/2 overall. Not very accurate. The Good Sam reviews have been consistently higher then my experiences in these parks.A lot higher. I smell a ringer. How do I get the review corrected so it appears under the correct parks name?
Don't know what you were looking at, but there is no such thing as a good same rating for the park overall. Each park has three Goodsam ratings categories on a one to ten scale. Those three categories are Facilities, Restrooms and Overall Appeal. The Goodsam rating card is located in the Goodsam Directory. The ratings are based onto whether or not they have certain features, not necessarily the quality or appeal of those features. For example, a lighted entrance sign gets a Facility's point. Doesn't matter if the sign is NFL scoreboard quality or is a weathered billboard with faded paint. You, personally, may not give a hoot if the park has a sign or not, but it is a one point consideration. Same with perimeter fencing, a swimming pool etc. If you pull out the scorecard and score the park you are in according to those criteria, and only those criteria, you will in all likelihood be within a point of the score in the book and on the website.
As for the review section, it is no where near as complete as RVparkreviews, tripadvisor, Google or some of the other review sites. One of my parks has 4 reviews on Goodsam and 162 on RV RVparkreviews, a similar number on Tripadvisor and 50 plus Google. There is a comprehensive score, but it is based on a 1 to 5 star score, not 10 based like your post indicated.
My only request is that if you are posting a review, be truthful. If you don't like the way you were treated, didn't like your site, or felt it rained too much, by all means post. But don't lie about the condition of the bathrooms or state that the manager is a heroin dealer who sacrifices children to satan if you are upset because the park requested that you pick up after your dog.
