Some of what you say is correct however, this information is not "all over the internet" about me as you say. And while you may find some information you will not find it all.
I do not have a facebook page nor do I ever connect to facebook through one of the icons that appear on other sites. Facebook is the prime culprit in privacy issues on the net. People just do not realize that when they post to Facebook they no longer are in control or OWN that information.
I am well aware of the internet and how it works. I have been using it since it was the DARPA Intranet in pre-Internet days. I have also been in the forefront of every company I have owned or worked for, to keep private information private for my employees, customers and myself. I am not a novice at privacy issues or use of, and what can and cannot be done with, the internet.
That is why I posted this. This GS policy represents a needless carelessness and lack of concern for customers privacy.
