It's not clear to me which card you used. The GS membership card with the swipe and save feature saves you 3 cents a gallon. The RV plus card saves you between 4 cents and 7 cents a gallon depending on your level of membership.
I've had the pump fail to give a discount on occasion. Some stations not owned by Pilot/FlyingJ do not offer the discount at the auto pumps but do offer it at the diesel pumps. Others are bound by state law to not offer the discount (Wisconsin) for example.
