When i bought my TH new in 2012 i got the extended warranty because i didnt know better ($1600). In the first year i only had one issue, my dvd player wasnt working. I removed the unit and sent it to dealer and they sent me a new one, a better one too. I never had an issue after. I had the 5 year extended warranty and relized it was a waste so after the second year i called and canceled the remaining 3 years and they sent out a pro rated check for the 3 years i didnt use it.
