No, the Good Sam ESP policy cannot be put on hold while the RV is in storage. The reason for this is because we have found that a large number of failures start while the RV is in storage- seals and gaskets dry out, so that when the RV is started after it has sat idle, lots of problems can occur with the refrigerator, AC system, generator and drive train components.
This is different from your collision coverage. You have no risk of having a collision while the unit is in storage, and you can put this coverage on hold, but you still have the potential for a mechanical breakdown claim that develops during storage. We see a large number of claims the first time the RV is used after being in storage.
