question about existing failures

I received a call from my service guy last week. Every item was approved for repair or replacement by GSESP. Jacks, Sat repair, AC, refrig, radio. To date I have not been disappointed in my coverage. We are glad we decided to opt into this warranty when we did several years ago. It has saved us a lot of money and aggrevation.

well I never did get the rv in Memphis, my route wound up thru Nashville. I did get a 98 Windsor with 32K miles on it.

Since the Windsor is a 98 is it too old and if not when does it become too old to get the esp for it. I am aware of the 15 year clause but I don't know how the clock starts.

The GS ESP policy wraps around the manufacturer's coverage. Some components in your RV are covered by the manufacturer for a year, some may be covered for two or three years. If you have a claim, you can call us, and if the specific compoent is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we will re-dirct the call to the manufacturer. If it is out of OEM warranty, we will take care of it.

It is pretty common to see the larger RVs with no spare tire. Good Sam Roadside Assistance deals with this all of the time, they will dispatch a truck to change or replace your tire in the event of a failure with your inflated spare or a new tire. The labor to change the tire and the service call is covered by Roadside Assistance. If you want the tire replacement covered, that is a option on your Good Sam ESP for a nominal surcharge.

One more question, maybe 2. :-) Does GS consider when excluding coverage what is covered in the manufacture coverage or chassis (ford) ? Example: if GS covers the slide outs and manufacture covers the same item, who do we submit a clam to?

2nd question: we have the big tires on our coach. (22.5) and our coach did not come with a spare tire because or storing it in the RV ( no space) and I have a blow out. Keep in mind that I also have GS RSA. How does that work? What is the cost of the optional tire replacement with GS extended coverage?

Yes, the coverage is the same for both terms. Only the length is different. You can always go with the four year term and then renew the policy on a year-to-year basis. The seven year term just locks in your payments so there can be no rate increases for seven year. It just depends on how long you plan to keep your RV.

I received 2 quotes, I believe both "Gold", one is 4 yrs which I can afford and the other one is 7 yrs. which I think is high. Do they both offer the SAME coverage other than the years?

If you are looking at the Good Sam ESP Gold policy, we list all parts that are not covered (exclusionary coverage). If you look at the list of excluded components, you will notice that they are maintenance items like fan belts, hoses and spark plugs, things that you will replace in the process of maintaining your RV. The list of covered components is much longer. If you request a quote for our Silver policy, it lists the components that ARE covered, (inclusionary coverage) and you can see it is a much longer list. I'm thinking about taking out the extended service plan, But reading all of the information sent to me, The exclusionism extreme, One item the engine, all is covered exempt the following, Then it goes on to name just about everything that's part of the engine?.Almost everything in the living area is covered, But then the fine print says
nothing is covered. I may misunderstand, please clarify. Thank you. Ed
