Many state Good Sam organizations do rallies. Ohio does three every year. They are smaller, far less expensive, and in my opinion far superior than the national rallies. State rallies are for the benefit of the attendees, not a sales tool for Camping World/Good Sam.
The state organizations are 100 percent volunteer and nonprofit, unlike Good Sam Enterprises which is a for-profit corporation. National is only interested in holding events that can be profitable to corporate.
Profit isn't exactly bad, a public corporation is required by law to make decisions which are best for the stock owners. I wish the Good Sam Club could be spun off separate from the for-profit corporation but it isn't likely since we are a "marketing tool".
I went to a few years back. All you heard was complaining...Lines to long, not enough seating in the semminars, not enough stuff in the goodie bag, ect. And then there was the parking/camping. Too close, ect.
I enjoyed them. Meet a few people we still see camping. Not sure if I would go to one now though.
Thank you for your patience. At this time, we do not have anything planned for the 2018 calendar year, but our Good Sam website or the Good Sam Events website linked below will provide any upcoming events.
Thank you for contacting Good Sam and sharing your feedback. I will look into this for you.
Thanks, Stacy Good Sam Care Team
