yes, After a blow out, grin. The guy I got it from said it had good tires. The tread was GREAT. I took it to Les Schawb for a tire inspection and to make sure the tires had the proper air pressure. They, too, said they looked great. 400 miles later, doing 55 on a highway I had a front tire blow out. Not nearly as scary as I had imagined. Just a big bang and the following thump thump of a flat. Turns out all 6 of the tires had severe dry rot and were 11 years old.
On the oil,, eeek. I called an auto parts store and was told
5-30 oil.. so I put 1 quart in ( that's all it was low after 6 k miles) .. if it's not the right weight.. have I potentially damaged something? I've not yet driven it since adding the oil. I'm supposed to go to see a friend at a horse show 80 miles away and will cancel if I need to.
I did look on the dip stick but wasn't able to find the oil weight.
