I do not have GSRA but I do have the other one that a lot of MH owners use. I keep it for two reasons. If I need a tow, they will pick up the bill. If I have a flat they pick up the bill to put my spare on. (I carry a full tire and wheel spare)Other than those two I do not call them.
You have to be prepared when on the road. I carry a super heavy duty set of jumper cables. I don't need to call if I need a jump. I can jump the MH with the Jeep or jump the Jeep with the MH. I have jumped other people several times and when I needed a jump someone has always helped me out, but like I said, I carry my own heavy jumper cables.
I also carry lots of tools and have fixed several things myself. On the rare occasion when I was broke down, I did not call the service provider. I asked around with some local folks who were more than glad to tell me the good ones and the ones to avoid. I had them do the repair and I took care of the bill. It is not cheap but I was repaired and back on the road in a short time.
Bottom line is people need to accept the responsibility of RV ownership and not expect someone else to take care of their problems and quit blaming others when things go wrong.
Have I been overcharged? Yes, but by using the credit card to pay you can challenge the overcharge and usually get a result that is fair for you and the service provider.
