RAPID RESPONSE TEAM FLAT OUT LIED TO ME

I thought Marcus' Rapid Response Team was there to help resolve problems, NOT LIE TO US.

On 7/23/2014, I posted a comment on here titled "Serious issue with Good Sam Roadside Assistance" in which I complained about a provider GSRA sent to my m/h for "no brakes". The provider was Orlando Emergency Roadside Service. They showed up, said they couldn't fix the problem but hammered my credit card for $600.00. Never got an invoice. Anyhow, I was threatened with arrest on felony charges by the provider if I called my credit card company. This was all done in emails.

The Rapid Response Team contacted me. I provided all the emails. They informed me via "Email". Here is the text:

FYI

Orlando emergency road service has been deactivated for future use

Thank you,

Tony
Allstate Roadside Service

I asked how he was involved with GSRA and got this reply:

We are contracted with them to handle their provider network. Good Sam is still a separate entity but the 2 companies have a good working relationship. Thank you for being a part of the Allstate family.

Thank you,

Tony

Allstate Roadside Service

Now another RV'r with GSRA just posted on these forums he just got ripped off for $700.00 by Orlando Emergency Roadside Service. The same company that the rapid response team CLAIMED they had terminated their contract with.

Now we have 2 GSRA customer's that have been ripped off recently by the same GSRA provider. The RAPID RESPONSE TEAM LIED TO ME and sent this company out to rip off another of their customers.

SHAME ON MARCUS AND HIS TEAM!

  • Sure they are still advertising "GOOD SAM". GS is still using them and will continue to do so.

The problem is they got caught in their own lies when another poster came on here to discuss their problems with the same company.

What this "provider" seems to be doing is going out on GSRA calls, telling folks they can't fix the problem and then hammer their credit card for big bucks. Leaving the GSRA customer stranded. GSRA just keeps on sending these folks out on calls.
  • Thanks for getting back to us. GS usually sweeps this stuff under the rug and we don't hear the results.
I would have disputed the charge as soon as they threatened me!

Allstate/Good Sam said the following in their email:

"Orlando emergency road service has been deactivated for future use"

Orlando emergency road service has been deactivated for future use

  • well if you are there and break down you have a note attached to your file to not use them
  • Time to get the legal eagles involved and BBB. Seems a visit from the folks who carry badges would help in this borderline theft operation. Don't let it slide pursue.
  • The problem is the GSRA sent these crooks out to another one of their customers that got ripped off AFTER they said they were not using them anymore.
  • i would have reported it to the card for dipute they can file charges all they want but have to prove reason for the charges
