Refund Assistance

Hi there. I bought a trailer from camping world back in October. We used it for the first time this weekend and it is most certainly too big for my truck. I'm trying to trade it in at another dealer and they're saying I can get a refund from the warranty I purchased at camping world. Can anyone tell me how to go about this? I called the finance department and they weren't much help at all. Thanks.
  • You will have to call the warranty provider. Read your warranty, it should have the info you need.
  • Oh boy but good luck. Let us know how it goes after you’ve had it for six months.
  • ohhhhhhhh Boyyyyyyy

Good Luck with that one..... Call the original selling dealer? so, how do you know its too big for your truck... maybe the hitch is nt set up properly??? Od did the dealer tell you that you could tow it >?
  • Are “h”s and “y”s free in Pennsylvania, ford?

“Why, son, you can tow anything on our lot with that big old 1500! Honest!”
  • I worked him back through my selling dealer when I canceled mine. Send them a letter stating you wish to cancel the warranty effective today and that way it is in writing and the date is established. I was able to get back a prorated amount of my premium. As Tyler states read your warranty info, it should outline the refund policy. You don’t have to state why you want the refund. Then be prepared to follow up numerous times until they process it. It’s a pain.
  • Usually if you request a refund, if your camper (or vehicle) is financed, the refund goes back to the bank/credit union. If your camper is paid for or if you trade your camper and when it gets paid off by the dealer, then you have to have the paid note or a letter on letter head from the Bank (CU) showing it is paid. At that time the refund comes to you. I used to work with this and also have had extended warranty and Gap insurance. I personally waited until I got the paid off papers, then requested from the dealer to cancel the warranty/Gap with proof. Takes a while.
