I just found out today that I need my fridge repaired or replaced. I think I am going to just have it repaired as I already have replaced a lot of things on it. The repair man said it will need a new cooling unit. Also told me to shop around and find my own and he would put it in for me. He said I could find it cheaper than he could. No, I do not have the extended warranty. He said for him to get the unit and install it would run about $3,000. new fridge would run around $5,000.
