I'm not saying if the OP took a wrong turn or not, but I did one time because I wasn't paying attention to the GPS. We went down a 40 mile dirt road. It wasn't bad, just slow, very dusty and I had to send the DW out in front of the MH to see if we'd fit under the overhead structure of an old metal bridge. Now days I keep the speaker turned on so I can hear when "Helga" wants me to make a turn so I don't miss them.
As for paper maps, I'd have to do a double tow to add a trailer to haul them for all of the places we've been and most of them are no good for the smaller roads anyways.
