The road starts out OK and a person in an RV might get lulled into thinking that this is an OK route. Part 1 of the youtube looks OK, then things change in Part 2. This is where I think I would have turned around. I saw several places where you could disconnect the toad and turn around. I did not see the road barriers. Could have been road construction latter. Part 3 has some good and bad sections. Part 4 looks like a mostly good drive.
I do not think that Good Sam should route an RV on this road. We did pass one guy pulling a travel trailer.
Part three looks a bit like what the OP described.
