Road side assistance, 2 thumbs up...

I never write anyone to complain or praise, but I had an experience with GSRA that was pleasant.
I bought a used SUV last minute due to my old one loosing it's transmission. The second day I had it I stopped at a light and it died. It tried to start but wouldn't like it's out of gas but it still had a third tank. I called GSRA and they sent a tow truck out to meet me. The operator was very nice and got right to the point to find out where I was. He called me 10 minutes later and said he would be there in 15, which he was. Meantime I received 2 texts just to keep me informed. The guy was great, hooked me up and asked me if I wanted to try putting more gas in it. We hit the nearest station and at rush hour he backed me up right between two other cars, where I stuck 15 bucks in. I hit the key and it fired right up, seems the gauge is off!
The driver pulled off to the side and unhooked me, 2 minutes of pressing on his cell phone and a signature from me I was on my way.
Total time, less than an hour. Great job GSRA!

  • Well the problem was not the gauge. The truck ran fine for days until yesterday when it died again just4 blocks from the last spot. I called GSRA again and they took my info, the truck arrived 45 minutes later and got me home for a mere 18 bucks. While waiting I diagnosed the issue and it was a bad fuel pump, which I changed once home and was good to go. This happened at 5pm rush hour and still just a small wait.
2 tows within a week and both were perfect....
  • Same experience for me...GSRA had a tow truck on the scene within 30 minutes and on a Sunday no less. Then I received a follow-up call to make sure things went as planned.

Seems like service is OK when folks are in town.

My experience has been excellent irrespective of time of day or night and/or physical location. Fuel pump went out 40 miles from the nearest Dodge dealer, the driver unhooked my trailer, wenches my 1 ton truck onto the truck bed, then backed up and hooked up my trailer, He towed us to the dealer, unhitched my trailer, wenches my truck into the dealer garage, hooked up my trailer again and drove us 20 miles to the RV resort we stay out for the winter. He drove us into the RV resort to our site and backed up the trailer making sure it was straight and level. Drove me back to the dealer so I could rent a car for a few days while my trucked got fixed. I gave him a $20 tip for his great service:):):):)
