We bought Good Sam Roadside Assistance some time ago. The first time that we used it was good. The second time we were on the interstate immediately east of Texarkana, Arkansas. The GSRA person gave us the phone number of the repair shop. It took forever for them to get to us so we called them. They said that they no longer have a contract with GSRA. Eventually someone came from 60 miles east of Texarkana. Why not from Texarkana as we were at the city limits?
The third time that we used GSRA we were in Houston, Texas, immediately next to I-10. Again it took them forever to come to help us.
We have Progressive insurance (through USAA)so I checked on their roadside assistance that is included with our coverage. We let our GSRA expire and will now see if Progressive is any better.
