Roadside assistance phone app

Greetings -

Today was the first day that I had to use my Good Sam Roadside assistant phone app for Android. Received an error message the the App did not work with my devices, however it worked great when I loaded it several years ago when we purchased our RV and joined the good Sam Club.

The app allowed me to call, and Gail was able to get me a tow track to pull me out of a snowy/ice ditch.

Is the issues with the Android & Apple phones I assume, being looked at and corrected? my wife and teen age children are on the same program with me.

  • Same here. The app auto dials GSRS rather than looking for the number in an emergency. My cell also auto updates all apps.

    Now just to get Mr. Hunter to answer my PM.
  • My wife and I have the older Samsung G3. My two kids have the iPhone G5.

    The App did make the phone call with the call feature, so I did not have to fumble around in my wallet to find my card.

    At least my phone auto updates all the apps I have loaded. did not check the setting for my wife and kids.

  • You REALLY don't have to use an "app" for EVERYTHING.

    In this case especially an actual phone call to a live person would be much better in my opinion.

    Even then, the last call I had ended up giving the "tow truck" a wrong address......even though I verified it twice with the live person. I can't see trusting an app.
  • Question... Have you updated the app over the years? Sometimes old apps will no longer communicate properly with the servers.
