Roadside Assistance Platinum

I have the Platinum roadside assistance for my TT and truck. I have the opportunity to borrow my uncle's Class A motor home. It hasn't been used in about 2 years and he wants it to get some use. I was planning on taking it on a short trip to a local state park for a weekend just to use it and make sure everything works. I am a little worried that I might break down or have issues while traveling since it hasn't been used in so long. Since I have the platinum service, would I still be covered since I don't own this motor home?

  • Thank you for the post MetalGator. Per the GS Platinum Roadside Assistance program guidelines you are protected in all owned, leased, rented or borrowed private-use, non-commercial vehicles including "Any RV's you own, lease, rent or borrow." I have provided a link to the online version of your GS Platinum benefit brochure below.

Some additional food for thought: Approximately 30% of RV disablements are due to a tire failure. Most RVers advise pre-trip safety inspections that includes tires. These inspections can potentially decrease the chance for a disablement.

Please feel free to contact me via private message if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you, Zach
  • The way I read the info I have recived it should cover you no matter what your driving , but as stated you may want to call, or try to find the fine print on your membership info.
  • better to call and ask, get the persons name that you talk to, than get the answer on here , most people will give there honest thoughs, but get the answer from the company.
