Roadside Assistance total Joke

I confirmed over weekend not to waste money renewing this plan. Had a 22.5 tire explode while putting air in it on Sunday. Luckily it was inside rear tire and no one got hurt. called Good Sam and after spending 15-20 minutes being bounced around 5 different people at good sam, I got Sarah A. who I repeated load range of tire, etc. at least 5 times. she told me she had to call me back with update of when they could help me.
being 700 miles from home, I then asked Siri for the closest commercial tire dealers, which 3 were within 2 miles of me. was able to find one of these 3 that had my tire and I drove there and had it replaced. about an hour and half after my first call to Sarah and Good Sam, Sarah called me back and left me voicemail that she was still trying to find someone in the "good sam" network to help me. Second call back from Sarah was 3 hours after initial call and still she was having trouble locating a Good Sam "network" tire replacement person.
By this time I was driving home and I guess Sarah is still looking for someone to replace my tire. If she would have only had a phone or google capabilities to notice that 3 tire repair centers were within 1 mile of me the entire time. Exit 106 off I95 in NC.

5 thumbs down to this service Good Sam offers, don't waste $80 or even $100 to buy this worthless service.
  • Sorry to hear,paying for that kind of service and those results? Good you took it on your own or you might still be sitting there.
  • We had a hole torn in an outer rear tire in El Paso a few weeks ago. Coach Net found the Camping World near us. We carefully drove there. Camping World would have had to order the rim, which might take two days. They handed us over to a truck tire place and we were back on the road just a few hours after our initial call.

    Several years ago, Coach Net found us a "hidden" hydraulic-diesel shop we were able to drive to without overheating (failed hydraulic pump).

    I like their emphasis on finding logical solutions to the problem, not just shuffling phone calls.

  • I'm no Marcus or GS fan. However, them working on it is a good thing. I had GSERS for years. Long before Marcus took over. Marcus inherited many of these problems. I just changed over to Coach Net.
  • the problem was as sarah said there were no contracted dealers in that area, so your the one that gets stuck , your right find your own way out of your problem, faster less stress and your on your way. wonder if sarah is still looking???
