I bought the Good Sam Roadside assistance last year for the first time. I thought it was reasonably priced. I never authorize automatic renewals on any subscription and it's a good thing I didn't. Apparently, they are not loyal to loyal customers. Renewals cost about twice what new sign-ups pay. When I called to see what I could do to get a better price, I was surprised to learn that that my credit card had already been charged the high renewal price A MONTH BEFORE MY OLD MEMBERSHIP EXPIRED. The first person I spoke to offered to give me a credit of $26, but I was so frightened by these shady business practices that I insisted on a full refund. Very disappointing...
