Perhaps the GS rep didn't know who was going to do the work because they didn't get that far with the deal. They told you $150 and you freaked out. Maybe they charge the same amount no matter what.
Yes. How else do they make money on this deal? Ever get a tow lately or have someone get the keys out of your car for you? They wouldn't stay in business if they covered everything with what they charge.
