RV Condo Lot Insurance

Great term. I've never heard of S&B. I'll have to remember that.

We were with Farmers in AZ for our homeowners and they covered it under an umbrella (extra premium) but they decided to raise rates by 27% so we switched to AAA to save money but as I said above they will not cover condo lot.

I tried Progressive as suggested above but they told me they would cover by only as part of a full-timers policy. We own a home we occupy for the majority of the year so we don't qualify for full-timers insurance.

Any other companies?

S&B = Stick & Brick or the regular residence.......Here in Idaho, Allstate is our homeowners insurance and they do cover our lot in Cascade with liability, but not comp on the casita.

John & Angela: Yes, I have checked with our agent who handles our homeowners as well as our RV coverage. She tells me her underwriter will not cover it as part of our homeowners policy or as part of an umbrella policy as there are hook-ups on it therefore it is not a vacant lot. They will only add vacant lots to our coverage.

Our previous insurance company would cover it under an umbrella policy but we are moving our homeowner coverage to another company and that provided the underlying policy. Each company has its own rules.



Texan: Thanks for suggestion of Progressive. I checked their website earlier and they don't list in RV coverage but I'll give them a call. By the way what is S&B insurance may I ask?

We are in Canada but just went to our regular insurance agent. They gave us liability for our lot in Canada and the US. Did you check with your regular home agent?? They may be able to help.

Progressive did when we were full timers, but we have ours combined with our S&B now.
