Every policy has limits on coverage. Tank gauges are notorious for not reading correctly if the sensors are inside of the tanks. One small debris piece gives you a false reading. This will likely be a recurring issue................most of us ignore the gauges and figure out how often we need to dump.
Sticking dump gates and be solved with some cleaning, a little lubricant or by replacing depending upon how bad. Replacement of the waste gates are covered by some policies and not others.
Yes, the policies can be very expensive but some of us are not "handy". I have had three extended repair policies now and have come out way ahead on two.
Coverage varies significantly by provider and you must know what is covered and ALWAYS get approval before any repair work is done. Sometimes the insurer will send someone out to verify the issue on a large repair. For me, I LIKE knowing I am covered if a large repair comes up. Has worked for me thus far. Others will never buy such a policy.
