Normally on forum software (at least the ones that I have dealt with in the forums that I have run before), there is an option for the user to have it where pictures do not show up. Actually this software has it under your preferences It has a box to check that says "Show images that are part of posts ( not recommended for dial-up users )". Just uncheck it.
