RVNet Roadside Assistance

A friend of mine broke down in Colorado. The nearest service center willing and able to repair his Allison transmission was across the state. The tow bill was $1500 and all was paid by his roadside assistance. He told me he was with RVNet which I bet is the same as GS. Anyone know for sure what this is?

  • Coachnet towed me 350 miles in Alaska to the nearest appropriate repair facility. Have not tried GS yet but seeing more positive posts here lately.
  • My road service will tow me to the nearest repair facility capable of doing the work. It does not limit time or miles except if I want to choose the shop. They will not drop me at Joe Blows Service Center and Flea Market nor will they tow me past a qualified GMC dealer.
  • I just renewed my GS ERS Platinum to Platinum Plus, which allows me to choose the repair facility of my choice up to 100 miles vs the tow co taking it to the nearest facility. This works good for me in the present area I am in, but I know it may not work in my travels. Sometimes I am in areas that are nowhere near a facility. Of course it cost more, but it gives me a warm feeling in my wallot. :)
  • Maybe he was with Coach-Net? Either way, the entire tow bill should've been paid to the nearest facility. Can't keep track of all the plans available but one of them may have a 100 mile max.
