With all due respect, it is your son you should be upset with. He gave the provider the credit card number but failed to get the amount of the charge. Or if he did know how much the charges were, he should have at least contacted you to get your approval before signing off on the charge. Perhaps GoodSam will provide some assistance, but I don't see why they should.
The issue is not with Good Sam so I don't expect them to do anything. My issue is with the service provider that told me in advance he would not take a credit card over the phone. So we agreed for him to send me a contract along with a bill.
The provider, not Good Sam, hammered the card. Considering Good Sam pays the cost of the service call I was to pay the mechanics labor and any parts. $560.00 for checking the brake fluid is a bit much.
Had the mechanic or dispatcher called me prior to charging the card we could have come to an understanding. Whet they did was charge my card without my approval AFTER they told me they could not accept it.
Then when I questioned it I was threatened with being arrested if I called my credit card company to object to the charge. That is why I am upset..The threats and intimidation.
BTW, since this happened I have read all sorts of complaints about this provider on the internet. So Why is Good Sam using them?
