If you go to the GoodsamESP.com website, and click on the "Coverage" tab, you can select your vehicle type- Motorhomes, Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheel, or Personal Vehicles.
You will then see a graphic showing all of the components that are covered by ESP. Right below the grapic is a red button that says "Sample Contract". If you click this you can read or print a copy of the actual policy that will be issued when you buy Good Sam ESP.
You also have 30 days after purchase to review the documents and decide if you want to cancel or not. If you cancel within 30 days, there is no charge and you receive a 100% refund of your premium.
If you cancel after 30 days, your refund will be pro-rated for the time you had coverage (but not for the mileage used like most plans), and you will be charged the $50 cancellation fee. The fee is to cover the administrative costs of issuing a refund to you or your lender if you decide not to go full term.
You can avoid the fee by transferring the coverage to another vehicle (cars even) or transferring the coverage to a new owner if you sold the vehicle.
This fee is no secret or scam, it is standard in the industry and a legitimate cost of doing business.
