It's just best to avoid all service plans and extended warranties on all products. They might "pay off" short term but over a lifetime you won't go wrong (financially) by skipping them and putting that money in an account for repairs. They play upon our fears of getting zapped with a huge repair bill which does and probably will happen with a motor home. My feeling; if I can't afford the repair, I can't afford the product.
