Storage option

I have recently switched to Good Sam/National General insurance. After a few months, I have put away my rv for a few months and took advantage of the "storage "option. I was surprised to receive a very large check, about 2/3 of my premium . Upon talking to customer service, I was told that everything is cancelled except the comprehensive part of my insurance and when I take the rv out of storage, I will pay a big premium again, to fully insure the rv. This has me kind of concerned . Any advice from experiences?
